In 2002, October 23 Dr. Buettner was appointed Honorary Senator of the Karlsruhe University of Music. In his capacity as principal of the university Professor Hartmut Hoell is contributing to the success of the Foundation with dedicated support.

The foundation cooperates closely with the University of Music and continuously receives warm thanks that are a source of motivation for its commitment (see letter by principal Professor Hartmut Hoell).

The foundation goal is to be achieved in particular by sponsoring the musical education of all students and scholars of the Karlsruhe University of Music including career preparation through the organization of competitions and awarding prize money or scholarships, through granting subsidies for students’ expenditures participating in in-house university contests or external competitions or advanced training courses, through fellowship promotion concerts and reunions with alumni or with renowned professional musicians as well as through subsidies towards selected musical projects of the university. The foundation focuses on the piano but is not limited to it as teaching subject.

The goals do not have to be achieved simultaneously and in equal manner.
