Subsidy for the production of a professional concert recording in the amount of 3.000 EUR:
Concert at the Karlsruhe Concert Hall on October 28, 2016: Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz with Frank Dupree as conductor and pianist. The performance contained Ludwig van Beethoven, piano concert no. 3 (watch the Video) and symphony no. 7 (watch the video).
It was the intention to support Frank Dupree, student of the Karlsruhe University of Music, in his artistic progress. In return he composed a hymn for the “Adler Buettner Stiftung” (Adler Buettner Foundation) with the title “A Blue Smile” (alluding to the note a, b flat and e flat, in German “A”, “B” and “(e)S” featuring the initials of the German name of the foundation). The composition premiered on February 25, 2017 at the first Schloss Gottesaue Concert performed by Professor Roberto Domingos.
Financing of expenditures
Provision of a fund in the amount of 2.000 EUR for (co-) financing expenditures.
(Co-) financing of expenditures to reimburse students’ travel expenses when taking part in competitions, lectures and the like.
Cooperation with Fördergemeinschaft Kunst e.V.
Participation in a concert series of the association “Fördergemeinschaft Kunst e.V.” (www.fgkunst-karlsruhe.de).
The first concert the foundation was involved to took place on February 15, 2018. Performers were the duo of piano and violoncello consisting of Gunwoo Park and Sion Choi, the first prize laureates of the piano contest 2017 (see page press).
Cooperation with KlangKunst Weststadt e.V.
Concerts in the series Young Classic at the Hemingway Lounge.
First prize laureates will regularly perform within that series.
